Why In-Home?

Along Came Music provides in-home lessons so that students get the best learning experience. Isn’t that what anyone taking music lessons would want?

• In-home lessons give the student a safe, familiar place to take lessons and students can enjoy their lessons and be comfortable with their teacher. Parents can be involved in the lesson experience which is not always possible in a small studio setting.
• The parents can hear what happens during the lesson and can always be included in a conversation with the student if the need arises.
• The lesson environment is the same as the practice environment. This gives the student confidence and can make the learning process easier. Teacher, student and parent also have control over the practice/lesson environment to make it best for the student. This makes the lesson environment more relaxed and creates a better relationship with the teacher.
• Saves time. No more traveling to-from lesson location. Some materials may also be purchased from the teacher so you don’t need to go to the music store and end up with the wrong book. There’s no hustle out the door to get to lessons on time, you’re already there!
• Parents and others in the household can continue regular activities such as starting dinner or finishing homework.
• Students can’t forget materials.
