Piano
Piano lessons are a fun and challenging way to learn a life-long skill. Music is something you can take with you anywhere you go! You can be any age and take piano lessons. Young students should be able to count and recite their ABC’s without assistance. Most students start by taking half hour lessons and increase the lesson length when they are ready.

The piano is played by depressing the keys, causing a hammer to strike the strings, giving us the tones we hear. Click here to see what fun piano can be!
With Along Came Music all instrument lessons are completed in-home. Your teacher travels to you and conducts the lesson where you practice. This allows the teacher to not only correct each student on a technical level, but also to resolve any poor habits that may arise due to the practice environment. Piano lessons can be taught in a variety of styles.
What you need:
- Piano or keyboard: If using a keyboard it is best to have one with weighted keys. This allows the player to have a piano-like experience and makes the transition to a piano easier.
- Assignment book: Used to record your new assignments each week (optional by teacher).
- Lesson books: Your teacher will determine what lesson books to purchase after discussing the needs and goals of the student.
