Dave C

David started playing the cello at age 8 and the Bass at age 13. He took lessons on the electric bass from Chuck Alder of the Illusions. He is originally from Long Island, NY and received his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Performance degrees from the Juilliard School of Music.  He is a freelance bassist in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area where he can be found performing classical, jazz, and Broadway.  He is currently the Orchestra Director at both Mount Olivet School of Music and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School.  David also teaches at St. Paul Academy, Champlin Park High School, Blaine High School, in addition to maintaining a private studio.  Prior to moving to the Twin Cities, he was a member of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra for over 17 years and on the faculty of Southeastern Louisiana University, Tulane University, University of New Orleans, and Jefferson Parish Schools Strings Program.  He has been playing Rock and Jazz since he was 13. He has performed Dixieland and with several bands including Walrus Submarine, an ethnic Beatles copy band and has recorded with the rock band Night Train. He and his wife, Natalie perform at events throughout the Twin Cities with Arioso Strings.
